Why should you register your research software?

Software is a valuable research output, both for you and for other researchers who may benefit from its re-use. Registration of your research software in Pure increases its findability and visibility to the outside world.

Pure is WUR’s Research Information System. It stores information about WUR researchers and their research outputs, such as articles, reports, presentations, and datasets. The information entered in Pure is shared with the outside world via Research@WUR, WUR’s public research portal. Pure is managed by WUR Library’s data specialists, who can help you register your research outputs.

How to register your research software?

While it is not an institutional requirement to register your research software, it is strongly recommended. Registering your research software increases its findability and visibility. To register your research software, please send an email to data@wur.nl with the persistent identifier (e.g. DOI) of or a link to the software, and the accompanying article(s) and/or datasets, when applicable.
