On this page you can find important information regarding enrolment to a BSc programme, after you have been admitted to Wageningen University. Please follow the steps in order to complete your enrolment and to start your study in Wageningen.
Om de informatie in het Nederlands te lezen, ga naar deze site.
1. Payment of the fees
All Dutch students must indicate their method of payment via Studielink.
Starting from 1 May, a new task will appear in your ‘To Do’ list in Studielink. Here, you can set up your digital authorization and choose whether you want to pay your tuition fee in one payment or in five instalments.
The payment deadline is 15 August. However, we strongly recommend that you confirm your payment as early as possible. Once you have confirmed your digital authorization, your payment obligation is considered fulfilled.
As soon as you meet all other enrolment requirements, you will be officially enrolled and your WUR account will become available (from 1 July).
By confirming your digital authorization, you give Wageningen University & Research (WUR) permission to collect the tuition fees from your bank account. This means you have met your payment obligation immediately, even though the actual amount will not be debited until 27 September. Please make sure to complete this step no later than 15 August.
If you choose to pay in instalments, an administration fee of €24 will be charged. This fee will be deducted together with the first instalment.
If you withdraw your enrolment (or request for enrolment) before 1 September, your digital authorization will automatically be cancelled.
Please contact ssc@wur.nl if you wish to submit a Proof of Payment of Tuition Fees (BBC) from another Dutch university or Dutch University of Applied Sciences.
For more information about the tuition fee, please visit this page.
2a. Handing in Admission documents (non vwo applicants)
Your (conditional) admission was based on the documents you uploaded in the application portal (Osiris). These uploads are not sufficient for the actual enrollment.
Make sure to read your personal result letter carefully - it includes all the details about the exact requirements and how to submit the required admission documents*.
If your school documents are not in Dutch, English, French or German, we also need to receive a certified** English translation from your school or from a sworn translator.
Deadline for supplying the required Admission documents:
- Preferred -> as soon as possible and before August 15th
- Final -> August 27th; please contact us if your graduation date is between August 27th and August 31st
You can send the required certified hard copies** to:
Wageningen University
SSC - Admissions Office
Droevendaalsesteeg 2
6708 PB Wageningen
The Netherlands
*A certified statement of graduation is also accepted if you have graduated but have not obtained your official diploma certificate yet. We will however require to see the original diploma certificate when you have obtained it
**What is a certified copy? A certified copy is a duplicate of the original document which is (after making a hard copy) affixed with an original stamp/seal and signature by the issuing institution. Just a regular photocopy of a certified copy is not certified anymore and will not be accepted. Certification of a document can be done by the institution you gained the degree from or by an authorized person like a solicitor or notary
2b. Handing in Admission documents (vwo applicants)
On this site, you can easily see if your vwo diploma makes you admissible, or if you’ll need to get one (or more) extra vwo certificates. Need more info about which certificates are accepted and how to submit them? You can find all that right here.
Usually, your vwo diploma results are automatically shared with Wageningen University through DUO after you graduate. You can double-check this in Studielink once you’ve got your diploma.
Graduating at the end of August? Contact us via ssc@wur.nl so we can check if we have received your diploma results.
3. Housing
Wageningen University has a large and vibrant student community, but finding a room in or near Wageningen can sometimes be challenging. Most students rent a room through Idealis, the main student housing organization in Wageningen. However, you can also choose to search for housing independently through other channels.
As a prospective student at Wageningen University you can register and apply for a room at Idealis via ROOM.nl. You may receive priority housing if your home address is more than 130 km from Wageningen. For more tips on finding a room you can visit this page.
Important: You must pay your tuition fee to Wageningen University on time. Priority for housing based on your home address will only be granted after your tuition payment has been confirmed.
4. Annual Introduction Days
The best way to begin your studies is by taking part in the Annual Introduction Days (AID).
During the AID (Introduction Days), you will get to know Wageningen University & Research, your fellow students, student organizations, the city and everything Wageningen has to offer.
There are plenty of activities designed to help you feel at home in Wageningen quickly and start your student life with ease. For more information, visit the AID website.
