Cancellation policy for course participants

Cancellations must always be submitted in writing by sending an email to vlag@wur.nl. Please note that your registration will not be automatically cancelled if you do not pay the participation fee, and that you will still be subject to the following cancellation conditions:

• Cancellations made up to 1 month before the start of the event: 100% of the course fee will be refunded
• Cancellations made between 1 month and 1 week before the start of the event: 75% of the course fee will be refunded
• Cancellations made within 1 week before the start of the event, during the event, or ‘no shows’: no refund will be given

For WUR PhD and EngD candidates: The Graduate School subsidizes course fees. If you incur a cancellation fee, the subsidy will not apply. The cancellation fee will be based on the regular fee for "All other PhD candidates."

Free events: Cancellations within 1 week before the event or failure to attend will result in a 50 EUR cancellation fee.

Exemptions: VLAG office may waive the cancellation fee for WUR PhD, EngD candidates, and postdocs with a valid reason for cancellation.

Cancellation by VLAG

VLAG reserves the right to cancel events in case of an insufficient number of participants, organizational reasons, changes in the availability of speakers, force majeure, or other unforeseeable events that render the execution of the event impossible and/or not worthwhile. In this case, VLAG shall immediately inform participants of such changes, and the course fee will be refunded.
