Summary
To minimise the risk of research data loss, you need to store your data in a secure and shareable environment. WUR offers several solutions to store, exchange, and collaborate on research data.
null
The WUR research data policy requires you to store your research data in a safe and shareable environment to minimise any risk of data loss and ensure continuity of access for collaborators and colleagues if needed (e.g. in case of sick leave, or after the end of your time at WUR). It is important to use a storage solution offered or approved by WUR.
To select the best storage solution, you need to ask yourself:
- How much data am I working with?
- Who needs to access it and from what location?
- What is the classification of the data?
- Do I have any external collaborators who need access?
- Do I need offline access?
- Are there any data sharing requirements?
Depending on your answers to these questions, possible solutions can be found in the WUR Storage Finder or in the ApprovedApps Tool.
For transferring (large) data files to others, please use SURFfilesender or Yoda.
