Summary
WU Master after WU Bachelor.
null
It is possible to continue your WUR Master studies directly after obtaining your WUR Bachelor programme. You can be enrolled on the 1st of the following month after your bachelor completion (if admissible to the Master programme).
It is important to start the procedure well in advance. Do not wait until you have obtained your Bachelor degree.
You should follow the procedure ‘study after bachelor’ if you almost graduate and you wish to continue your studies directly after you have graduated for your bachelor title.
- Go to the WUR application portal and log in.
- Answer the questions and submit.
In this process, you fill your expected graduation date. This is an estimation, if you graduate in another month then you had expected, SSC will change this in your request for enrolment.
If you graduate in June or July the SSC will automatically put your starting date for your Master on September 1. You don't need to send in your application for the Master programme via Studielink.
If you have applied for a master’s programme but have not yet graduated from your bachelor’s programme by August 31st , the SSC will convert your master’s application into a bachelor’s re-enrolment so that you can be re-enroled for the bachelor’s programme.
Can I directly start with my master's courses?
How can I start with my master’s degree immediately after obtaining my bachelor’s degree without problems with the “harde knip”?
If you expect to receive a passing grade for your final Bachelor's course before the deadline for withdrawing from exams in the first period of your Master's program, you can already register for the courses in your Master's program, even if you are not yet enrolled in that program. This only works if you are studying both the Bachelor's and Master's programs at Wageningen University.
This also works if you receive your final grade in September. You can then already start one or more Master's courses in period 1. As long as your final Bachelor's grade is registered in Osiris before the deadline for withdrawing from the exam(s), there will be no problem.
Note: If you do receive a failing grade for your final Bachelor's course(s), please withdraw from the Master's exams in a timely manner and inform the course coordinator. You must deregister for the exam in a timely manner, otherwise you will have definitively enrolled in the course during your bachelor's phase, meaning you will no longer be able to include it in your master's program later.
Not directly admissible?
If you are not directly admissible to the Master’s programme you wish to apply for, you will receive a link to the Osiris application portal. There you can submit an admission request, and you will be asked to upload your Bachelor’s transcript of records.
If you have not graduated from your Bachelor’s programme by 31 August, SSC will re-enrol you in the Bachelor’s programme for the new academic year.
Please note!
If you have already graduated in the bachelor, but have not yet completed all the required courses for admission to the master, you might be admitted to a Pre-Master program. You can only start the Pre-Master's program as per 1 September or 1 February.Questions & Answers
