Information about the workshop on citing and referencing by WUR Library

To avoid plagiarism, you need to cite and reference the sources you use in your writing. During this workshop, we’ll discuss how to cite and reference properly, and give you tips on how to do it effectively.

Target group: Bachelor and Master WUR students writing and essay, a report, or a thesis.

Content

During this workshop, we’ll discuss the following citing and referencing issues:

• why, what and when to cite;
• ways to cite (paraphrasing, summarising, quoting);
• in-text citations and reference lists;
• style selection;
• citing and referencing images; and
• reference managers.
