Wageningen in'to Languages is WUR's expertise centre in language and communication.

You can come to Wageningen in'to Languages for:

• Language courses in English, French, Spanish and Dutch as a second language (group courses and tailor-made programmes)
• Communication courses in areas such as writing and presenting, including courses specifically aimed at scientists
• Generative AI courses: from basic skills to more specialised applications
• Translation into and from all languages
• Editing of academic and non-academic articles, summaries, posters, PhD theses, etc.
• Subtitling 

For employees: working with your own translator/language teacher

Language courses, translations and related services for WUR are provided by Wageningen in’to Languages. In some cases it is possible to work with your own translator/language teacher. Wageningen in’to Languages will be happy to talk to your translator/language teacher about potential collaboration. Once an agreement is reached, you can continue to work with your preferred professional via Wageningen in’to Languages.

Rates for translations and text editing 

The Translation & Text Editing department of Wageningen in'to Languages works with standard market rates. Human translations with revision are charged per word, taking into account whether there is repetition within the assignment or similarities with previously translated texts, which have a favourable impact on the price. 

Secure machine translation with post-editing by a professional editor are charged at a greatly reduced word rate. For secure machine translation without post-editing of up to 10 editable files at a time, we charge our minimum rate. 

Text editing is billed by the hour. Interpreting services are usually charged per day or half-day, and subtitling jobs are billed at a minute rate. Aftercare is free of charge in all cases.

WUR employees are not charged VAT (21%).
