Instructions

As a WUR user, sharing files and folders on OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams with external users is a straightforward procedure:

  1. One shares the item with the e-mail address of the external user.
  2. The external user confirms their e-mail address by clicking the link that has been provided by email
  3. If the external address is known to Microsoft, the external user is prompted for Multifactor Authenication (MFA) - no verification code needed
  4. If the external address is NOT known by Microsoft, after verifying the e-mail address, the external user is sent a verification code to be provided in the verification window. After providing this code, the user is prompted for Multifactor Authenication (MFA)

After this, a code from Microsoft is sent to the confirmed email address:

After providing the code the prompt for consent window appears, if consent, user clicks Accept
